Should Santa be Allowed to come to School?

According to this article,Should Santa be Allowed to come to School?, the school district is saying that they do not want any holiday figures to interrupt instruction time but are okay with them coming out during lunches or before and after school. I think that if BISD had adopted this law as well, we would the same reaction like all the other parents and kids did. I do think that have Santa Claus interrupt class time can be bad but I do also believe that if it goes with a lesson, than it is okay. If these characters were cut out of the classroom, it would take away all activities and events that teach you about different cultures and the way the world is different. I think that elementary kids would be able to take part in PTA before or after school activities because it is important for them to also get involved, even at a young age. My solution would to be either find a way to have these characters fit in with a lesson or to just hold the characters until classroom learning is over with for the day; like having a party at the end of school.
